Abstract
Given the rising cost of electricity and the current context of climate change, modern agriculture faces challenges related to access to water and energy. Irrigation systems require a constant electricity supply to operate efficiently; however, in remote rural areas, access to the power grid is often limited or unstable. A sustainable solution can be the implementation of hybrid energy systems - combinations of two or more renewable energy sources (for example: solar + hydro, solar + wind, solar + diesel generator). These hybrid energy systems can ensure energy autonomy and reduce costs for ecological farms. Based on the results obtained, this article demonstrates that hybrid energy systems can represent a modern, sustainable, and technically and economically efficient solution for powering water pumps used in a sustainable organic farm.
